Windows 7 – How to Make Your Desktop as a Slideshow
In this tutorial I am going to show you how to make a cool looking desktop in Windows 7, it will change your desktop background after x seconds/minutes (you can set the time). It will look just like a cool slideshow with your own predefined pictures. Let's get started.

  • Right Click on your desktop and select Personalize
  • Click on Desktop Background

  • You will see something like this:

  • Now, you can either select some from the default pictures or you can select some of your own pictures. I'll show you how to select your own. ClickBrowse and select the folder where your cool images are located.

  • press OK
  • Now your images will load on that panel

  • Select which pictures you want to be included in the slideshow (by ticking/un-ticking the images you want)
  • At the bottom of that window you have several settings:

  • From here you can select the Picture position, Change picture every, and Shuffle
You can select if you want your desktop picture to change every 1 minute, every 10 seconds, or maybe even every day. You have several timings to choose from. You can even tick the Shuffle checkbox so it can choose images at random, or if not, it will display the pictures one after each other in an infinite loop, you choose.
  • Just click Save changes and you are done.
This feature is quite a cool feature if you like fancy looking computers with all the cool effects you can dream of. You could achieve the same effect in previous versions of windows by installing third party applications, but the fact that this is a built-in feature in Windows 7 it’s quite cool.
The only bad thing is, is that you cannot select transition effects just like a normal slideshow, that would be really really cool.
